Bonhams' Aston Martin Sale will leave you stirred but not shaken

Bonhams is licensed to thrill collectors of Aston Martin motor cars and world-wide fans of James Bond movies this spring by offering for sale the V12 Vanquish, driven by Pierce Brosnan and featured in the latest blockbuster Die Another Day. The car will be sold at Newport Pagnell on 10 May 2003.

Chassis no. SCFAC13372B500172 is one of just three pristine ‘hero’ cars, driven by Brosnan on the Icelandic set, and the only one for sale. The car is featured extensively in close-up shots of British secret agent 007 in pursuit of villain Gustav Graves. The specially coloured ‘Tungsten Silver’ Vanquish cuts a striking image as the two play cat and mouse across the frozen landscape, while the dashing Bond tries to save the world from Graves’ solar powered satellite weapon.

Despite being driven by one maverick owner in the film, the car is in perfect condition. It has all the specifications one would normally expect to find on a brand new Vanquish and it will be offered with a letter of authenticity from Aston Martin, confirming that the car was driven by Pierce Brosnan on the set of Die Another Day.

Bonhams’ sale, which is held annually at Aston Martin’s Newport Pagnell Works Service, will include around 50 of the finest Aston Martin’s available, in addition to 150 lots of automobilia, and - for the first time - a James Bond memorabilia section will be incorporated into this special event.
